An alle Spanien-Interessierte:
Anlässlich des 30jährigen Jubiläums der Städtepartnerschaft zwischen Würzburg und Salamanca findet am Mittwoch, den 21.04.2010 um 19 Uhr eine Veranstaltung zum Thema "Impressionen aus Salamanca und Würzburg" statt.
Es treffen sich Würzburger Studierende, die in Salamanca studiert haben, und Studenten aus Salamanca, die momentan an der Uni Würzburg zu Gast sind, um über ihre Erfahrungen im Ausland zu sprechen.
Man darf sich sicher sein, dass dabei einige amüsante Anekdoten erzählt werden! Kommt also vorbei!

Eating out in Würzburg
All too often, guests ask our staff to recommend them a place to eat out in Würzburg. As a result we've decided to add a 'Food and Wine' category to our blog to assist our guests in their dining decision and to also give fellow foodies out there, in the true sense of the expression, some food for thought.
Whether it be traditional German-Franconian cuisine to authentic Asian food, Würzburg has it all. Würzburg has a wide variety of eating and drinking establishments to choose from, ranging from quality restaurants and bars to local pubs and cafe-restaurants. And not to mention, the superb wine that is grown in this region. In our blog we will be introducing a selection of restaurants that we have sampled and enjoyed ourselves on many occasions or have had highly recommended by other locals.

This tiny, cosy restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants in Würzburg. Delicious cuisine prepared with care and attention for your pleasure. Why not order an antipasti platter to start, followed by any of the specials of the day with a nice rosso or bianco, and then treat yourself to tiramisu for dessert. Buon appetito!

For lovers of asian food, you can't go wrong with Asia Kim. From 11:00 - 14:00 daily, you can feast on their fabulous all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for a low cost of 6.50 € per person. This family business has long been satisfying customers with their delicious thai curry and crispy duck dishes. The overall ambience and service are friendly and welcoming. So if you are looking for a good place to eat without burning a hole in your pocket, then this is the place to go.

Meikes Matrix
BabelArt ist mal wieder am Start. Meike hat mit Acrylfarbe ein Strukturbild gemalt. Das wird dann im `common room` seinen Platz finden und die Gäste werden sich nicht daran satt sehen können.
Als Meike mit Spachteln und Rolle angerückt ist mußte ich sofort an Bob Ross denken. Den Held unserer BR Nächte, der in 20 Minuten einen Bergwald auf eine weiße Leinwand zaubern konnte. Meike sieht das naturgemäß anders, aber sei`s darum. Holger sieht Bäume hinter der Matrix, Dieter runzelt die Stirn und Meike lacht einfach nur darüber...
Bin schon gespannt was Ihr darin findet.
Stadtstrand Würzburg
Eben als die Sonne raus kam ist mir der Würzburg Stadtstrand eingefallen... und siehe da. Der Stadtstrand öffnet auch dieses Jahr wieder seine Pforten und zwar im April.
