American singer, songwriter and guitar player
Emma Ruth Rundle uses influences from Folk, Ambient and Post-Rock and combines them with the huge experience from her many solo- and band projects. This year she promotes her second studio album "Marked for Death" on a tour containing six gigs in Germany. With a soft but solid voice she lays lyrics about grief, death and self-destruction over beautiful dark soundscapes. Her support on the Immerhin's stage will be Dark Country Folk artist
Jaye Jayle who is contemporarily touring with Oathbreaker.
Expect soft but strong, dark but beautiful music surrounded by open-hearted people in one of Würzburg's most active and most alternative venues. In the bar room you'll be offered keen and fancy drinks, lots of comfortable furniture and table football while next door beautiful music will be played.
You can easily get to the Immerhin by walking since it is only a few metres away from Babelfish Hostel.
TUESDAY, 02 May
Party: StuDienstag (students's Thursday) @Laby, 22:00h:
Free entry for all students and pupils. For everyone else, admission fee is 2€ until 22:30h and 4€ from 22:31 on. Also there are special offers on several beers, long drinks, shots and also soft drinks. Besides, the Laby has a great kitchen which provides you with snacks, finger food and fancy fast meals.
Next to the bars you will find the dance floor where local DJs are about to move your feet to the tunes of Rock, Pop, Indie and Alternative. For those of you who prefer not to dance or to take a break, there are several table footballs and a pool billard table in the calmer back of the venue.
The Labyrinth (or 'Laby' as we say in Würzburg) is the town's biggest club for Rock and Alternative Music. Its doors can be reached easily by walking within ten minutes from Babelfish Hostel.

Happy Hout all night for beer, cocktails, shots, longdrinks and liqours. DJs Jonas, Dieatbeat, Chrizz and Marco Mora will provide you with the best of R'n'B, Funk, Soul and House on two floors. The two lower decks of the boat are dancefloors while the upper one is a bar. For those who need to catch some fresh air there is an outside area as well.
Das Boot (the boat) is near the old harbour and can be reached by walking or with the bus lines. If you take the taxi and show the bill at the entrance, you will get free admission and a free shot for up to four people.

Musical / Rock Opera: Jesus Christ Superstar @Mainfranken Theater, 19:30h:
Andrew Lloyd Webber's version of the New Testament sets its focus on the surroundings of Jesus Christ during the last week of his life. Enjoy a rocky and musical event that has delighted tons of people around the world. Beautiful melodies and songs meet powerful and convincing acting. This version of mastermind Webber's musical is written and directed by Marie Jacquot, Pascale-Sabine Chevroton and Antonia Tretter.
The Mainfranken Theater is Würzburg's biggest and most famous theatre. Being located right between the pedestrian precinct and the Residence you can walk there from Babelfish Hostel within 10 minutes.
SATURDAY, 06 May:
Vernissage: Janosch @Galerie Gabriele Müller, 14:00h:
Horst Eckert alias Janosch is a German author and artist who is mostly known for his children's books about the tiger and the bear. Working as an author and an artist he has become a formative influence for many people of all ages. Janosch is known for his positive view on the world and his stories that are full of love, friendship and an attitude that says "We can do this and we'll do this together as friends!".
The artist will be back in Würzburg this Saturday and will personally open the vernissage in which he also presents two new works about the city of Würzburg. The event will take place in Gabriele Müller's gallery close to the Mainranken Theater.
SUNDAY, 07 May:
42nd International Children's Festival @Inner City, 11:00h:
The whole pedestrian area of the inner city will be full of happy people having a good time at stands, attractions, food stands and stages. What a day to be a child!
