MONDAY 05 June:

Party: "Ooooh, Monday!" @Club Katze, 22:00h:

Join the pyramid! Every drink is only 1€ in the beginning. With every passing hour the price climbs up by 1€, but they will never be higher than the regular prices. That means: early birds are in an andvantageous position. Also the night's motto is Rave'n'Roll. That said the music will basically be Pop,Rock, Electro and Rap. Put on your dancing shoes and move your feet! Admission is 4€ (3€ if you install the venue's app on your phone).
Club Katze can easily be reached by foot. You just have to walk until the end of Julius-Promenade and take a sharp right to get there.

TUESDAY 06 June:


Concert: The Wooden Sky & Leon Francis Farrow @Cairo, 19:30h:

The Canadian Indie Folk band took their name from Frank Herberts science-fiction novel "Dune". Singer Gavin Gardiner uses the elements of a fictional world to depict actual situations on our planet Earth. They are on tour with their fifth LP which is described to sound like a merge of Tame Impala, Fleetwood Mac and The War on Drugs with some psychedelic influences, bluesy soundscapes and lots of pure folk.
Café Cairo is a beautiful centre across the river Main. Next to a great stage, fantastic sound and awesome people they also have nice drinks and good food. It is located between the Löwenbrücke (lions' bridge) and the Alte Mainbrücke (old Main bridge).
 


Barbecue @Babelfish Hostel, 18:30h:

Free Franconian Bratwurst will be grilled for our guests on the sunny hostel terrace.

 

WEDNESDAY 07 June:


Jam Session: Wunschlos Jazzig @Wunschlos Glücklich, 20:00h:

Grab your instruments, dancing shoes and joy of life and meet fantastic people in this really gorgeous place. You can join the stage and do a jazzy jam or you can just enjoy the beautiful tunes while having food and drinks at this wonderful café. Admission is free.
Wunschlos Glücklich might be Würzburg's most beautiful café. The backyard offers comfy seats and the area inside provides lots of space to sit and relax and even a large area for children to play is available near the numerous dining tables.

Their menu is full of fancy food for any vegetarians, vegans, omnivores and everyone else.
The entrance in Bronnbachgasse can be reached by foot within five minutes starting from Babelfish Hostel. Just follow the train tracks until you see Bronnbachgasse on your right hand side.

THURSDAY 08 June:


Concert: Philharmonisches Orchester Würzburg / Olga Scheps @Residenz, 19:00h:

As one of the climaxes of this year's Mozart Festival the Philharmonic Orchestra Würzburg and pianist Olga Scheps the Overture to Mozart's Don Giovanni, Chopin's piano concert Nr. 1 e-minor op. 11 and Mozart's symphony Nr. 36 C-Major  ("Linzer").
The introdcution will begin at 19.15. From then on the artists are willing to entertain you with the sweetest of airs.

Especially Russian pianist Olga Scheps will be highly excited for this event since she has been in love with Mozart's music for ages.
You can easily walk up to the Residence in less than 15 minutes. The beautiful and honourable sales of the UNESCO World Heritage building suit this event perfectly.

FRIDAY 09 June:


Party: "Good Music, Great People" @Nachtwächter, 20:00h:

The culty Friday in Würzburg's oldest students' bar. Next to the heart of the town's nightlife, Sanderstraße, there is a quiet street called Korngasse. Here, you'll find this legendary bar. Only the best of all styles of music, fancy drinks and friendly people wherever you look. Nachtwächter is a location every Würzburg tourist should at least visit once.
If you don't like to walk up there, you can catch a tram to "Neubaustraße" or "Sanderring".
 


XXL Jenga @Babelfish Hostel, 20:00h:

This huge version of the classic game Jenga promises fund and joy for all. Every brick comes with hilarious objectives.


SATURDAY 10 June:


VeganMania @Unterer Markt, 10:00h:

For the third time this huge event comes to Würzburg. If you like to inform yourself about the vegan way of living or you just want to enjoy vegan food and the company of many nice people, this might be the place for you to go to this Saturday.

There will be plenty of information booths on domestic animals, environment, food chains, animal rights or vegan products.
On several booths you can also test vegan food, vegan cosmectics or fashion.
On stage there will be several lectures and speeches all around environmental and ethic topics. And of course there will be music, too!
The whole event will be held right at the market, in the middle of the inner city.
 

 

SUNDAY 11 June:


Concert: Yawning Man & Dryad @Immerhin, 20:30h:

Yawning Man play sick Desert Rock with influences from Jazz, Punk, Hard Rock, Folklore and a lot more. The American trio is known for their melancholic, cinematic and and driving heavy music. Prepare for some daydreaming with this avant-garde Stoner Rock experience. The band has just released their third full length record "Historical Graffiti" last August which the will present at the Immerhin this Sunday.
Their support is Dryad from Würzburg.
To get to the concert, you will only have to leave Babelfish Hostel and walk across the street. Within less than five minutes you'll find yourself behind the post building in front of this open-hearted venue. Great music, wonderful people and cheap drinks guaranteed!
 


Beer Tasting @Babelfish Hostel, 19:30h:

Life is full of difficult choices, such as which beer to drink at the hostel bar. Tonight you will get a free tasting of all them!
