At the Babelfish, Mondays are for BBQ! Join the hostel staff and other guest at 8pm on our rooftop terrace for some delicious Franconian Bratwurst - or just get some drinks at our bar and enjoy the evening hanging out with other travelers.

Boat Tour to Veitshöchheim / Rococo Gardens
@ Alter Kranen; hourly departures 10am-4pm; round trip 12 EUR
The weather forecast is promising a sunny day this this Tuesday, perfect for a nice boat little boat trip along the Main. “Starting at the Alter Kranen boat dock, cruise down the Main River past vineyards and the Oberzell Monastery to the town of Veitshöchheim.” Make sure to get some ice-cream at Eis Stephan on your way to the Rococo Gardens!

Babelfish City Tour

Tour the city with Katie! Meet in front of the hostel at 5pm, where we will start our free City Tour. Enjoy walking to some of the historic sites of Würzburg and get to know the City from a local’s point of view.

Bürgerspital Hofschoppenfest 09.-16.06. (wine festival)

Enjoy local top wines and the original Würzburgian “Weinfest” atmosphere at the Bürgerspital Hofschoppenfest, taking place in the beautiful historic inner courtyard of the foundation. (It’s only a short walk from our hostel!)

Babelfish Beer Tasting

Not the wine kind’a guy/gal? Join Thorsten and other guests at 8pm for a fun Beer Tasting evening at our bar. Sample the various beers we sell, and hopefully you will find one you like.

EM 2016 Public Viewing: FRANCE – ROMANIA

The European Championship is kicking off this Friday! There are a lot of places offering public viewing throughout this fan-crazed time, check out this guide for a solid overview. Aside from the bars at Sanderstraße, we’d recommend the beer garden Jahnterasse to enjoy the first match of the tournament and a cold beer or two … For a schedule of all matches check out the UEFA website.

Join Jenny and other travelers for a game of XXL Jenga with a little twist to it. Meet at 7:30pm on our rooftop terrace for a fun evening of games and hanging out.

6. Offene Skateboard Meisterschaft Würzburg (open skate contest)
@ Skatepark Mainwiesen / Zellerau; from 10 am
Enjoy a relaxed Saturday at the Mainwiesen with a lot of Skateboard action, DJs, food and drinks, and an overall fun program – or even join the open skate contest (registration takes place at 10am!). Check out the official Blowout Blog to get an idea of what to expect (maybe try Google translate ;)).
