·         MONDAY 10.10.

Welcome to “Route 66” (photo exhibition, 28.09.-19.11.)
@ Stadtbücherei Würzburg im Falkenhaus, 10am-6pm
Photographer Christian Weiss went on a 3 week USA road trip along the legendary “Route 66”, documenting his journey and the different facets of Americas “mother road” through his camera lens. His photos currently are on display at the local library.  
 

Lieblingslieder & Getränkepyramide (clubbing)
@ Club Katze, 10pm
Club Katze is probably best known for their Monday parties with a proper “Querbeet” music selection (think everything classics, charts, hip hop, house, electro) and their infamous “Getränkepyramide” – prices for all drinks start from 1€ at 10pm, then increase by 1€ every hour until they meet their original price tag eventually. Cheers!

·         TUESDAY 11.10.

Babelfish City Tour
@ Babelfish Hostel, 5pm
Tour the city with Katie! Meet in front of the hostel at 5pm, where we will start our free City Tour. Enjoy walking to some of the historic sites of Würzburg and get to know the city from a local’s point of view.

Join us for a fun (and free!) beer tasting evening at our bar, sample the various Franconian beers we sell and get to know a little something about the local drinking culture :)

Bassion – Stimme & Bass (concert)

@ Theater am Neunerplatz, 8pm, 14 EUR
Birgit Süß and Klaus Ratzek are presenting their new project BASSION at the Theater am Neunerplatz this Thursday and Friday, a musical evening somewhere in between Jazz, folksongs, Pop, soulful ballads, and French chansons. Oh, and did we mention there might be a musical saw involved?

Metal Hammer präsentiert: Pain + The Vision Bleak (Metal)

The Swedish Industrial Metal band PAIN
is teaming up with German Horror Metalheads THE VISION BLEAK for their “Coming Home” tour. Opening acts are DYNAZTY and BILLION DOLLAR BABIES. You can get tickets here or try your luck at the doors.

handmade Würzburg (Creativity/DIY Fair, 15.-16.10.)
@ Congress Centrum, Sa 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-5pm, 6 EUR
Crafting, stitching, sewing, gluing, quilting, crocheting, felting, upcycling, paracording, you name it! If you like DIY-ing things and arts and crafts supplies in all shapes and sizes, you’ll love the handmade fair taking place at the Congress Centrum this weekend.

Skaldenfest (Metal)
@ B-Hof, 7pm, 8 EUR
This Saturday the one-night-only Metal Festival Skaldenfest is taking place at B-Hof for the second time, presenting a rather impressive line-up: FIRTAN (Black Metal), DVALIN (Pagan/Folk), JÖRMUNGAND
(Pagan/Folk), and VARUS (Orchestral/Folk/Epic).

Klampfisk Konzert im Standard (Singer-Songwriter)
@ Standard, 9pm
KLAPMFISK
(aka “Germany’s oldest newcomer band”) are playing at the Standard (aka one of our all-time favorite pubs in Würzburg) this Saturday. Admission is free, small donations are welcome.

Festung Marienberg (Guided Tour)
@ Festung Marienberg, 3pm
You don’t necessarily need to book a tour to explore Würzburg’s iconic landmark Marienberg Fortress and enjoy the beautiful view over the city, but if you’re in for a little historical and architectural background information we’d recommend joining one of the public guided tours around the castle. Tours in English are taking place on weekends at 3pm, tours in German are offered Tuesday-Friday multiple times a day.

Babelfish Jenga Night

Jenga – the XXL version! Meet at our lounge or rooftop terrace for a fun evening of games and hanging out.
