The University’s Institute for Music Research is hosting an open lieder recital at the
Würzburg Residence this Wednesday evening. Susanne Lampidis-Pirsch (mezzo-soprano) and Armin Fuchs (piano) are interpreting works by Carl Nielsen, Edvard Grieg, Ture Rangström, and Jean Sibelius. The entry is free, so this might be a nice alternative to the usual touristy visit to the Residence and Court Gardens.

Museum im Kulturspeicher shows a representative selection of the most outstanding works of internationally renowned artists such as Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Edouard Manet, Paul Cézanne, Camille Pissarro and James McNeill Whistler, as well as works by German artists like Max Slevogt, Lovis Corinth, Max Liebermann, and Ludwig von Gleichen-Russwurm in their current special exhibition (18.09.-20.11.2016).
