Boat Tours to Veitshöchheim / Rococo Gardens
@ Alter Kranen; hourly departures 10am-4pm; round trip 12 EUR
“Starting at the Alter Kranen boat dock, cruise down the Main River past vineyards and the Oberzell Monastery to the town of Veitshöchheim.” Make sure to get some ice-cream at
Eis Stephan on your way to the Rococo Gardens!

Freibad / Badesee (pool)
The weather forecast is promising 30°C summer heat for the better part of this week, so how about a quick trip to the pool or one of the lakes nearby? The easiest one to reach is Würzburg’s beloved “Dalle” (Dallenbergbad, open 9am-8pm), a public outdoor pool popular with children and adults alike. Take the tram leaving right across the street from our hostel at the main train station (lines 3 to Heuchelhof or 5 to Rottenbauer), get off at Dallenbergbad, and follow the crowd. If you fancy a short excursion into Würzburg’s surrounding area instead, this list of lakes might help you out. Feel free to ask for directions at the reception!
