Die Weiße Schlagerweihnacht (X-Mas Party/clubbing)

You wouldn’t think the premise of trashy Schlager (German hits) would make for a great night out, but the “Weiße Schlagerweihnacht” at Zauberberg usually is one of the most crowded / crazy Christmas parties in town. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Dinner and drinks? You’ve come to the right place at the Chase! Start your evening off at the Stakehouse and then join the fun at the bar (which usually turns into a proper party location later on), for this Friday’s X-Mas party.

Home alone? Not at the Kurt & Komisch Weihnachtsjam! Pre-celebrate Christmas with Hip Hop and Disco – there might be some caroling going on as well.

Winter – Weihnacht – Winterschlaf (exhibition)
@ Mainfränkisches Museum, 10am-5pm
The Mainfränkisches Museum at Marienberg Fortress is currently hosting the winter themed special exhibition „Winter – Weihnacht – Winterschlaf“ in cooperation with the Würzburg Research Center for Historical Media. The exhibition shows a selection of the center’s comprehensive collection of historical school wallpapers. “The illustrated school wall paintings date from the end of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century. Older visitors will feel back in their own school days, the younger ones will be amazed at how memorable one can show the various topics without electronics on colorful wall pictures!”

Christmas Market
Enjoy a nice stroll through the many booths and food stands at the Christmas Market.

Holy Night (clubbing)
@ Airport, 11pm
Not in the mood for a Silent night? Check out the Christmas party at the Airport promising “partysounds, Hip Hop, dinks, and fun”. There should be a shuttle service available to get there from the main station across the street.

·         SUNDAY 25.12.

Die Päpstin: Das Ballett (ballet)

@ Mainfrankentheater, 7.30pm

Die Päpstin (Pope Joan) is based on motives from Donna Woolfolk Cross’ historical novel of the same name. The ballet artfully portraits a historical society which is characterized by traditional conventions, roles and hierarchical structures, and cleverly draws references to our present times. The music selection includes a cross-section of spiritual works from the Baroque period up to contemporary sounds and thus reflects the tension between fictional historical history and today.
