The exhibition shows a selection of the center’s comprehensive collection of historical school wallpapers. “The illustrated school wall paintings date from the end of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century. Older visitors will feel back in their own school days, the younger ones will be amazed at how memorable one can show the various topics without electronics on colorful wall pictures!”

· SUNDAY 25.12.
Die Päpstin: Das Ballett (ballet)
@ Mainfrankentheater, 7.30pm
Die Päpstin (Pope Joan) is based on motives from Donna Woolfolk Cross’ historical novel of the same name. The ballet artfully portraits a historical society which is characterized by traditional conventions, roles and hierarchical structures, and cleverly draws references to our present times. The music selection includes a cross-section of spiritual works from the Baroque period up to contemporary sounds and thus reflects the tension between fictional historical history and today.
