Visiting Würzburg this week? Great! We put together a short list of things happening this week, just in case you’re still looking for some inspiration on what to do / go see during your stay.
·       MONDAY: Bat-Amgalan Orsoo – Den anderen Wahrnehmen (art exhibition)
@ Museum am Dom; 10am-5pm; 3,50 EUR
What about starting off the week with a good dose of modern art? In their current special exhibition, the Museum am Dom presents selected pieces by Mongolian artist Bat-Amagalan Orsoo who deals with questions of self, identity, and how we see each other as humans in her paintings.

·       TUESDAY: StuDienstag (party)
@ Labyrinth; 10pm; 4,00 EUR
The Laby is located only a short walk from our hostel, bringing to you punk, indie-rock and -pop with DJs Chainsaw and Tom on Tuesdays. The prices for drinks are about as good as it gets with shots and beer from 2,00 EUR and cocktails for 5,00 EUR. Plus: If you don’t feel like dancing, you can hang out in their outdoor area our try your luck at the foosball or billiard tables.

·       WEDNESDAY: BBO – Impressionen in Jazz (concert)
@ Kellerperle; 7:30PM; 10,00 EUR
The local Björn Becker Oktett takes songs from all genres and puts their own jazzin’ touch on them. This Wednesday they’re playing at Kellerperle. If you’re into jazz and small concerts this might be right up your alley.

·       THURSDAY: Scheherazade (ballet)
@ Mainfranken Theater; 7:30PM; ticket information
This production (ballet by Anna Vita with music by Nicolai Rimski-Korsakow and Fazil Say) looks so damn cool, check out the preview on YouTube! There are only a few remaining tickets left on sale, but we highly recommend trying to get your hands on them.  

·       FRIDAY: Hail Cesar! (Cinema, OV with subtitles)
@ Central Programmkino; 8:45 PM; 6,50 EUR
“Hail Caesar! Follows a day in the life of Eddie Mannix, a Hollywood fixer for Capitol Pictures in the 1950s, who cleans up and solves problems for big names and stars in the industry. But when studio star Baird Whitlock disappears, Mannix has to deal with more than just the fix.” You can watch the trailer here.

·       SATURDAY: “Schnaps statt Häschen” (party)
@ MS Zufriedenheit; 11pm; 5,00 EUR
On this Holy Saturday it’s time for “Schnaps statt Häschen” (booze instead of bunnies) at the MS Zufriedenheit. DJs Johannes Suckfüll & Mistaa are playing disco, fiesta, funk, hip hop and soul. Happy Easter!

·       SUNDAY: Marienberg Fortress (sightseeing)
@ Marienberg Fortress; 3pm; 3,50 EUR
The Fortress is one of Würzburg’s iconic landmarks and definitely worth a visit. While guided tours in German are taking place all the time (multiple times a day, see the Website for details), tours in English are offered only on weekends and public holidays.
